- To anyone with a shred of intelligence, it’s evident Meghan Markle keeps her husband, Prince Harry, on the proverbial short leash.
- There are several ways the Duchess of Difficult appears to control Harry.
- If the roles were reversed, I bet their relationship dynamics would invite a lot more scrutiny.
To most Meghan Markle fans, Prince Harry might as well have not existed before 2016.
Y’know, back when Meghan ditched Cory Vitiello after a two-year relationship in May only to begin seeing Harry weeks later.
I completely understand why those fans assume Prince Harry has always been the wet blanket he is today.
What they don’t know is he was once regarded well by almost everyone who knew him–including the British public.
Harry used to make all his own decisions before he met Meghan
Remember the good old days when Prince Harry used to carry a gun during his time in the British army? When, if required, he’d shoot people?
Nowadays, he can’t shoot anything.
Meghan, who wears the trousers in the relationship, has made sure of that.
That’s nothing new. As far back as 2018, there were rumblings that Meghan Markle had banned Prince Harry from attending the royal family’s traditional Christmas pheasant shoot.
Prince Harry gave up hunting for Meghan, but she hasn’t given up meat
Reports surfaced a few months back that Harry had sold his cherished handmade hunting rifles “to please Meghan Markle.”
A friend of the anonymous buyer commented at the time:
He bought them because he wanted them, not because they belonged to Harry, but he was quite chuffed when he found out.
Don’t miss that iron that while Meghan isn’t keen on Harry shooting animals, she has no problem eating them:
I am a big fan of Sunday suppers. Whether we’re eating lamb tagine, pot roast, or a hearty soup, the idea of gathering for a hearty meal with friends and family on a Sunday makes me feel comforted.
Killing animals is wrong, unless it’s done by someone you don’t know – and unless it serves your “comfort.”
Prince Harry’s friendships are falling apart, but Meghan Markle is surrounded by hers
No sooner had Meghan Markle fallen pregnant than Prince Harry began to drift from his long-time friends of many years.
Speaking to The Sun, one insider claimed:
Most no longer even have his cell number. They totally understand that men often drift from their friends after marriage, but there’s still a lot of resentment because they had been close for so long.
Meghan acolytes will say Prince Harry chose to drop all his friends and change his cellphone number.
The more mentally-agile among us have a different suspicion.
Throughout their relationship, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been surrounded by friends–Meghan’s friends, including former BFF Jessica Mulroney.
If this were a woman who had cut off all her friends after marrying a man, the man would likely face accusations of problematic, controlling behavior. And rightfully so!
Prince Harry no longer has his closest confidante to rely on
I can already hear the Sussex Squad defending Harry’s “decision” to isolate himself from everyone he knew and loved for most of his life.
“Why does Prince Harry need his brother, family, and friends? He has Meghan now. She’s his family and the only friend he needs.”
It’s an argument they’ve made before:
That’s right. Prince Harry has been cut off from his brother and family. Meghan Markle appears to have maneuvered herself into a position where it became a “them or me” situation, putting Prince Harry into a terrible spot.
That Prince William raised valid doubts about Meghan Markle early on made him out to be a danger to Meghan–a threat that had to be removed.
Now that Prince Harry is isolated in America, surrounded exclusively by those who Meghan Markle deems suitable, I’m worried the once-jovial, enigmatic Prince will devolve into a shell of his former self.
Where does all this all end? Who knows, but it certainly won’t be pretty. These types of relationships very rarely are.
